Escrow Terms
Last updated: 7 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy or sell with Mullahc Escrow, including the marketplace. They add to the general Terms & Conditions.
1. How escrow works
- The buyer and seller agree a deal, either from a marketplace listing or a direct offer.
- The buyer funds the escrow. The money is locked by Mullahc; the seller can see it is there but cannot take it.
- The seller delivers. Both parties tick the handover checklist for the deal (for example: vehicle inspected, logbook transferred, title deed transferred).
- The buyer releases the money and the seller is paid into their escrow wallet.
2. Handover checklist
Each step of the checklist belongs to one party: the seller confirms what they handed over, the buyer confirms what they checked. Only that party can tick the step. Buyers should release the money only when every step is done.
3. Delivery and automatic release
When the seller marks a deal as delivered, the buyer has a set number of days to release the money, request changes or open a dispute. If the buyer does nothing in that time, the money is released to the seller automatically. Opening a dispute stops automatic release.
4. Disputes and @admin
Either party can open a dispute or write @admin in the escrow chat. A Mullahc admin joins the chat, reads every message and file, and may ask for more evidence. The money stays locked for as long as needed until the parties agree or Mullahc decides. Mullahc may release the money, refund the buyer, or split it. Decisions are final on the Mullahc platform.
5. The escrow wallet
Releases and refunds are paid into your escrow wallet, which is separate from your Mullahc wallet. You can fund new escrows from it or withdraw it: USD as USDT / USDC to a crypto wallet, local currency to mobile money.
6. Listings
Sellers must describe items honestly and include the details asked for (for example make, model, year and registration for vehicles). A listing can be edited until a trade is placed on it. Listings marked as sold leave the marketplace. Mullahc may pause or remove any listing. Items listed must follow the Prohibited Items policy.
7. Fees
The escrow fee (percentage and amount) and who pays it are shown before funding. See the Refund Policy for fees on cancelled and disputed deals.
8. Your responsibilities
Keep all communication about a deal in the escrow chat. Never release money or hand over goods outside the escrow flow. Mullahc holds the money and enforces these rules but is not the seller of any item and does not inspect goods.
